"The Frederick Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, connecting, and educating the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Non-binary, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community and its allies in Central Maryland. A student experiencing extreme bullying because of his sexual orientation, his mother, and other adults came together to build a welcoming community for LGBTQ+ teens and adults in 2012 The Frederick Center proudly partners with private, governmental, non-governmental, non-profit, educational, and religious organizations.

The Frederick Center organizes the annual Frederick Pride celebration. Pride provides an environment for LGBTQ people, allies, and families to interact and celebrate LGBTQ pride. It serves as the means to coordinate the actions of our community for the coming year. Typically it takes place the fourth Saturday in June. Started in 2012 with an attendance of about 300, it surpassed 15,000 in 2019. For latest info see their webpage above."
The Frederick Center receive their check during Frederick Pride on June 24, 2023! They were very surprised, happy, and amazed at the $9000 everyone raised for them!
