Fur The More strives to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for its attendees. We have amended our Code of Conduct to include an anti-harassment statement in the hopes fostering and protecting our uniquely diverse fandom.
The staff at Fur The More will not tolerate harassment in any form. We ask that if our attendees witness harassment at the event that they contact a member of Rangers or a member of Staff. Together we can insure that everyone feels comfortable and safe at the convention. In order to complete registration, every attendee must acknowledge and abide by the Furthe’More Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct, along with our “Harassment Statement” is as follows:
Furthe’More is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event for everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or religious beliefs. We do not tolerate harassment, verbally or physically, of convention attendees, volunteers, staff, or guests.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
We investigate reports of harassment during the event and will take appropriate action to respond to legitimate claims including but not limited to, revocation of convention membership, barring offending persons from convention space, and informing the venue/hotel that offending persons are no longer eligible for the convention room rate. This may result in additional actions such as but not limited to, revocation of the convention room rate and removal from the premises, at the hotel/venue’s discretion.
Mid-Atlantic Anthropomorphic Society also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refer reports of harassment to Hotel/Venue security and to law enforcement.
People who harass our attendees, volunteers, staff, and guests (including by attempting to abuse this policy) are not welcome at Furthe’More.
Fursuiting is not consent: Just because they’re wearing a fursuit, does not mean that they want to be touched. please be sure to ask permission before touching anyone
We at Furthe’More ask that all attendees use common sense and respect their fellow convention-goers. If you have questions or need clarification on our policy, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
