You like us... you really like us!

Thanks to you, Fur the More has grown into a convention of medium size. Unfortunately, this also necessitated moving the event into a larger space. Larger spaces come with new challenges which include parking in a region where parking is a premium. As a smaller event, we were able to be at small hotels that controlled their own parking which allowed us to negotiate complimentary parking. As a larger event, this luxury is not available to us anymore unless we move into an area where a lack of public transit means every attendee would have to drive 2-4 hours to get to us from a major metro region.

We are continuing to try and work with the local parking companies to secure a deal for our attendees. In the meantime, we have options for utilizing the hotel shuttle, hotel parking, and limited complimentary parking in the area around the hotel. We hope this guide helps you with joining us for a great weekend of Furs, Friends, and Fun!

Airport Shuttle

You can now track our Hyatt shuttle for pick-up simply by downloading the link below when you arrive. Our shuttle service will provide you estimated times to and from the airport. When opening the link be sure to use HOTEL CODE: 2799

We depart from the hotel front drive every 20-minute on the hour from 4:40am - 12:40am seven days a week.

Metro Shuttle

UPDATE: 02 MAR 2022

The hotel shuttle to the metro station is not available this year.

Parking

If you plan to drive to the convention, we have several parking options available. However, if you are not parking in the hotel valet, then we recommend you arrive to the hotel; unload your stuff and friends, and then proceed to your chosen parking destination.

Hyatt Valet Parking

Our host hotel has a valet only parking service. Fur the More was able to secure a discount for this service of $10 off the prevailing rate. As of 01/15/2022 the prevailing rate was $45/day. Showing your attendance badge would then reduce that to $35/day.

Complimentary Parking options

Some of the local parking garages do have complimentary parking available in the following times:

Weekdays (Mon - Fri): 4pm - 6am

Weekends/Holidays: All day

Utilizing the "complimentary" parking garages will (to our understanding) only incur a parking cost for the hours outside of the complimentary period. Most of these garages are run by PMI who lists their rates as follows:

1 Hour Rate: $6.00, 2 Hour Rate: $11.00, 24 Hour Rate: $21.00

So for example:

If you parking at 2pm on Friday afternoon, and leave before 6am Monday, your anticipated parking cost would be $11.

If you arrive Thursday evening and park after 4pm, and depart before 6am Monday; your anticipated parking cost would be $21 (for the whole day Friday).
